During pre-production, Bryan Singer and composer / editor John Ottman were involved. However, Singer departed the project. His replacement, Simon Kinberg, wrote the script.

In the meantime, the Brotherhood has been organized under the command of Magneto. Magneto wants to assassinate President Trask. Fortunately, Beast has been able to nullify his mutant powers.

The film has received favorable reviews. One reviewer says that it "is a great film that you will enjoy watching." Another praises its "rich storytelling". The DVD features a soundtrack and three documentaries. There are also 10 deleted scenes.
